Programme for The Lawn Tennis Championship Meeting 1930
This Wimbledon Programme for Friday June 27th has green covers with brown text showing the committee, officers and priced at one shilling. To the reverse a full-page racket advertisement by Slazenger illustrates the “Queen’s” Tournament Model priced at 77/6. The sixteen pages include the order of play and draws for the gentlemen’s singles and doubles, the ladies’ singles and doubles, plus the mixed doubles. All events have been filled in with names and scores in pencil. The plate event is an exception. Past winners are listed towards the back of this publication. As usual with programmes of this period there is some slight fading to the cover edges, minor rusting to the staples and the centre page is loose. The pages are complete with numerous advertisements of the day.
