Wimbledon Centenary (1877-1977) Boxed Medal
This collectable silver medal comes in its original fitted case by Garrard & Co, Ltd of Regent Street, London W1. The front face is entitled Wimbledon Centenary Year 1977 and shows a male and female player in dress of the day. The style of dress to the reverse face is conservative and reflects the year – 1877. To the edge a full set of hallmarks confirm the makers – Garrard & Co, Ltd, the year letter C – 1977 and the anchor – Birmingham.
The medal weighs 50 grams and is 4.5cms in diameter, the box is 7.5cms square. Condition – excellent
