Issued by F.H.Ayres, Ltd of 111 Aldersgate Street, London E.C.1. This being the official edition of 1927 by permission of the Croquet Association. It contains regulations for official tournaments including laws of the game, the court and setting, equipment, definitions, and play. Regulations include sections on arrangements for tournaments, managers, referees, competitors, etiquette, and umpires. This 34-page booklet also contains interesting advertisements in regard to equipment – balls, hoops, mallets and box sets. In keeping with the era Ayres also advertises lawn tennis and archery equipment. Measuring 16.5 x 10.5cms the booklet is complete with some ink corrections neatly written on page 6. The covers and first two pages have minor spotting, otherwise the pages are bright and clean.
