English Lawn Tennis Fishtail Racket A.W. Gamage of London c1910
A fishtail lawn tennis by A.W. Gamage of 116-128 Holborn, London. This racket with two tone gut strings exhibiting two breaks. Fishtail in gold lettering appears to one side of the wedge, whilst the maker’s details are shown on the other. The handle has deep ventilation grooves and a tight fishtail handle. The racket is straight with no warp. It bears press marks to the wedge. 12 1/2 oz is embossed to one side of the handle. Condition – good.
