Early Slazenger Demon Fishtail c1890
Thin handled with an elongated head this is indeed an early Demon Fishtail. All traits point to this period – THE DEMON stamped to the top of the head, original thick coarse two-tone gut, long narrow head and thin handle. The demon trademark is shown to one side of the throat wedge and the early slazenger trade stamp “Best is best thru the world etc”. The condition of the strings are excellent, There is a nick to the side of the wedge on one side and some loss to the side top layer on the handle where it has been taped. However, an early racket in otherwise good condition. Very hard to find now.
